Born Christian Scott, he legally and professionally reclaimed the name Chief Xian aTunde Adjuah and leads a long-running solo career as a composer, multi-instrumentalist, and bandleader. He coined the concept of “Stretch Music” and has released numerous critically acclaimed recordings while receiving multiple Grammy nominations and awards such as Edison Awards and a Doris Duke Artist Award. Adjuah also designs instruments and technologies and serves as a cultural leader within his community.
