Formed in 1994 by Warren Haynes, Allen Woody, and Matt Abts, Gov't Mule released their self-titled debut in 1995 and built a reputation for marathon live performances and prolific recordings. After bassist Allen Woody died in 2000 the band recorded the guest-filled tribute projects 'The Deep End' and continued touring and releasing studio and live albums with Warren Haynes as frontman.
