Junkie are a trio formed in high school in San Antonio, Texas, consisting of Mark Perez (vocals/guitar), Daniel Garcia-Moreno (bass) and Jonathan James (drums). They released the album W/E in May 2016 and built a local following through DIY shows and backyard "Junkfest" events. The band returned with the single and album cycle around Fast Times in 2019 via Yippee Ki Yay Records, playing regional bills alongside acts like Wavves.
