Austin-based Ruthie Craft is a pop-soul powerhouse with a story behind every song and a voice that commands a room from the first note. Seattle-born and Austin-made, she started teaching herself to sing and write as a teenager after a Tourette’s syndrome diagnosis — and discovered that music was where everything made sense. She went on to win a contest to perform with Keith Urban in front of 10,000 people, reach Hollywood Week on American Idol, share stages with Shakey Graves and Sir Mix-a-Lot, and win Best Music Video at the Austin Spotlight Film Festival.
