Civic Park

Civic Park at Hemisfair is a major new urban event park in downtown San Antonio, opened September 29, 2023 on the former 1968 World’s Fair grounds, featuring the Great Lawn, a tree-lined Promenade, and interactive water Springs. The 1.5?acre Great Lawn accommodates about 10,000 people and now hosts marquee city festivals such as Jazz’SAlive, DiwaliSA, Muertos Fest and Celebrate SA, making it a central gathering place for large outdoor concerts and cultural events. Steps from the Henry B. González Convention Center and the River Walk, it anchors the Hemisfair district’s programming and public life.
