About

Built in 1878, Gruene Hall is the oldest continually running dance hall in Texas, and the Central Texas birthplace to many great songwriters and musicians. Including George Strait & Ace in the Hole, Lyle Lovett, Joe Ely, Robert Earl Keen, The Fabulous Thunderbirds, Hal Ketchum, Bruce and Charlie Robison, and many more.

Parking

Free district parking near the hall, including an 800?space lot at 1622 Gruene Rd opened in May 2025; on select days a complimentary shuttle runs from the overflow lot at 1404 Gruene Rd to the district. Street parking is limited during peak times.

Public transit

Ride the Rio on?demand microtransit operates citywide in New Braunfels (book via app/phone) and can provide door?to?door service within its service area; rideshare drop?off is common along Gruene Rd/Hunter Rd.
